Job details:
Title: Cleaner
Pay rate: £11.44 per hour
Shifts: 4 on 4 off 10.00am - 10.00pm (11 hours paid and 1 hour unpaid break)
A rapid response cleaner is typically responsible for quickly and efficiently addressing urgent cleaning needs in
various settings, such as offices, hospitals, wards, or industrial environments. Their role involves responding to
emergency cleaning requests, such as spills, contamination, bodily fluids, or any situation requiring immediate
sanitation or cleaning attention.
Key responsibilities include:
Rapid Intervention: Responding to urgent cleaning requests within a short time frame to mitigate risks, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict safety protocols, especially in environments where hazardous materials or bio hazards are involved, like hospitals or labs.
Cleaning Procedures: Using appropriate cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals to address the specific situation, such as disinfection, stain removal, or debris cleanup.
Preventive Measures: Identifying potential risks (e.g., wet floors, broken glass) and taking quick action to prevent accidents or further damage.
Documentation and Reporting: Recording details of the cleaning tasks performed, including the areas cleaned, time spent, and any special instructions for future cleaning.
Maintenance of Equipment: Ensuring cleaning tools and machinery are in good working condition for future rapid response tasks.
Client Communication: Understanding and responding to the specific needs or preferences of the client, whether it's a preference for certain cleaning products or a need for assistance with more specific tasks
The goal of a rapid response cleaner is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene, minimise disruption, and create a safe environment for everyone in the affected area.
Compliance and Accuracy ensure that all work is carried out in line with Serco policies and procedures and all documentation and work records are completed accurately.
Undertake any other ad hoc duties as prescribed by your Patient Ambassador or Manager and within scope of the above duties.
