Our client, a UK-leading independent non-ferrous metal stockholder, is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving business growth for a company renowned for its quality products and exceptional service.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of a designated geographical area, spending 4 days a week out on the road and 1 day working from the office or home. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, re-engaging lapsed accounts, and identifying new business opportunities within the non-ferrous metal market.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met with a high standard of service.
Actively seek out new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
Re-engage lapsed clients, understanding their previous challenges and offering solutions to meet their requirements.
Attend client meetings, delivering compelling presentations and solutions tailored to their needs.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer service and order fulfilment.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall growth.
Requirements:
Proven experience in business development or sales within the non-ferrous metal industry (essential).
A results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
A proactive and organized approach to managing a diverse customer portfolio.
A valid driving license and the ability to travel across your assigned territory.
