SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Rotherham

Salary: £95 - £120 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full Time/Part Time

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? GSL Education have a fantastic opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team at a client school in Rotherham.

Job Summary: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students, helping them achieve their full potential.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

Support students with a range of special educational needs in their learning and development.
Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering personalised lessons.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to enhance their educational experience.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Relevant qualifications such as CACHE or NVQ would be a beneficial but not mandatory.
Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
