Design, develop and deliver bespoke products for our global customers
When you join us in this important role, you’ll focus on delivering highly effective, day-to-day workshop operations. This will involve liaising with stakeholders, ordering materials and equipment and the design, manufacture, construction, and cost recovery of high-quality bespoke products that meet our customers’ needs. You’ll also carry out the planned and preventative maintenance of workshop machinery. You’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities – these include delivering operational Health and Safety in the workshop, using traditional woodworking techniques, and developing your skills with CNC router technology. You’ll also make an important contribution to the research and development of potential future products, services and new or improved processes.
Use all your expertise as you help keep our machinery and workshops safe.
To be a success in this role you’ll have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in carpentry and joinery, a comprehensive understanding of workshop Health and Safety, and experience in the safe use, operation, and basic maintenance of workshop machinery. It’s vital that you have hands-on knowledge of spindle moulders, planers, thicknessers, tenoners, table saws, crosscuts, wall saws and other workshop equipment. Be able to interpret professional and technical documents, be prepared to on board new skills in the use of specialist software systems and tools. Any experience as a First Aider or Fire Warden would be desirable, as would the ability to supervise and deliver training to your colleagues.
