Payroll and Benefits Officer
Part time - four days a week - two in the office and two from home (you may be required to be in the office more during the initial three months).

Location - close to Holborn
We are working with a membership organisation based in Central London, who are seeking a Payroll and Benefits Officer to join their busy team on a part-time (four days a week), permanent basis.
You will join well-established company, in a unique industry so this will be fantastic opportunity to step into something different.

The main duties of the Payroll and Benefits officer role include:
To process all aspects of payroll from start to finish including the payment of statutory allowances and the accurate payment of salaries
Deal with employee salary and payroll queries
Liaise with HR Assistant regarding new appointments, terminations and other relevant matters
The collection and paying over of monthly pension contributions
Liaise with HMRC where necessary on any PAYE, NI queries etc.
Check for any tax code changes using HMRC's Government Gateway
Payroll month end and year end
Review payroll policies and procedures, and suggest and implement changes where necessary
Post all payroll payments to the financial ledger and prepare any associated journals accurately and per the month end timetable
Administration of the company's benefit scheme
Raise purchase orders for any monthly or annual payments requiredThe role would suit someone with excellent attention to detail, someone who has taken responsibility for forecasting and budgeting in the past and is looking to continue their career in a busy fast-faced finance role.
Knowledge of Sage Payroll would be beneficial.
