Our client is an international leader in their sector. They produce a variety of quality food products for all of the major retailers and wholesalers. They've created a new position for an Improvement Engineer to join the business.

You overall responsibility will be to identify, diagnose and resolve long-standing engineering issues within their packing facility. This is a crucial role in driving continuous improvement in factory performance by addressing and fixing a backlog of unresolved problems that have accumulated over time.

Focus areas include Continuous Improvement, Fault-finding and troubleshooting, Team work, Communication, Data Analyses and Reporting and Project Management.

You'll have a positive impact on downtime, completion of back log tasks, improved efficiencies and productivity.

Ideally, you will have:
- A strong mechanical background.
- Food manufacturing or packaging experience.
- Experience carrying out improvements.
- Welding & fabrication skills.
- AutoCAD knowledge.

Commutable from Peterborough, Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, March, Wisbech, Chatteris, and King's Lynn.
