Description
Oversee purchasing activities for specific categories within the company.
Monitor and predict market trends to identify potential areas for savings.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with various department heads to forecast future supply needs.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company objectives.
Handle any supply issues to ensure continuity of supply.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
Regularly report on purchasing activities and cost reductions.Profile
A successful Category Buyer should have:
A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
Experience in a procurement and supply chain role, preferably in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Exceptional analytical and strategic planning abilities.
A solid understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.Job Offer
