We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our client in Barnstaple. This is your opportunity to take ownership of the production area, ensuring parts are produced safely, to the highest quality and on time.  

Key Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:

Team Management – day to day supervision of the team, driving a culture of engagement. You will also be conducting development and performance reviews, disciplinary meetings and return to work meetings.
Product excellence – Ensuring products are manufactured safely, in line with cost, output and efficiency targets, and ensuring high levels of customer service from the area.
Area management – Ensuring the production area runs smoothly, conducting tool box talks, and output monitoring to make data driven decisions.
Continuous Improvement – Using Lean tools such as A3’s and 10 step problem solving to resolved challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Productivity – Coordination of staffing resources and develop and train standard work instructions and risk assessments.
Requirements of the Production Supervisor:

Experience working as a Production Supervisor or similar, in a manufacturing / production environment
Be able to demonstrate the ability to build effective teams and enhance engagement.
Possess a Continuous Improvement mindset and practical knowledge of problem-solving tools.
Understand key production metrics to drive performance, with special focus on Safety and Quality.
Capable of making informed decisions based on data analysis, good excel command is a plus.
