Year 6 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional with a passion for supporting children's learning? We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 6 pupil, providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and personally.
This part-time role (Thursday and Friday) offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a pupil's educational journey within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The Role
Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.
Assist in implementing tailored strategies and interventions designed to help the pupil succeed.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to deliver a consistent and effective support plan.
Encourage independence while fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Support the pupil during lessons, group activities, and transitions throughout the school day.
The Candidate
Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally supporting Key Stage 2 pupils.
Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with additional needs (e.g., SEND, behavioural or learning challenges).
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
