We are seeking an experienced Engineer for our client based in Woolpit, close to Bury St Edmunds. This is a full-time permanent role working a day shift, with no weekend or out of hours call outs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small and friendly team. You will join the company as a key member of the team carrying out servicing, maintenance and installation of pumps and related control systems. This is primarily workshop based role however, some travel to site within East Anglia will be required too. This role provides a great opportunity to join a friendly and busy team.

The Company

Is a well established company who provide supply submersible and surface pumping requirements to a number of industry sectors including local authority, shopping centres, agriculture and domestic customers too. The company have been trading for over 15 years and have built a loyal and ever growing customer based within East Anglia. This is a busy time for the company and we are seeking a key person who can add value and help the company to continue forward with their exciting plans for growth. Training opportunity and progression will be provided to assist in your development.

The Role

This is an important role within the business and you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and installations works of various pump and related control systems in and around Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. Working as part of a small team of 3 (one part time)

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

* Strip inspections of pumps in the workshop

* Fault-finding, rebuild and performance testing

* On-site servicing of pumps

* Filling out timesheets

* Carrying out deliveries as required

* Completing various customer and performance reports

* Adhoc duties to assist other members of the team

The Person

We are ideally seeking someone who has previous experience of working on Pumps and Control Systems and is happy to work on both clean and dirty applications. Also have the following skills and attributes:

* The ability to carry out electrical function tests

* Ideally experience with pumps and associated equipment such as submersible, end suction, vertical multistage and progressive cavity pumps

* A driving licence and happy to drive a van to site as required

* Happy to work in a physical role where some lifting and working in confined spaces will be required

* Sound electrical knowledge ideally with phase rotation, balance and electrical testing equipment

Details

This is a permanent role which is offered on a full-time basis with working hours of 08:00 – 16:30 Monday – Friday with no weekend , or out of hours call outs. The salary offered is £32,000 - £35,000 with 30 Days holiday (including bank holidays) plus the days closed over Christmas.
