Learning and Behaviour Mentor

Introduction

Qualiteach Yorkshire are now searching for a dedicated, and passionate Learning and Behaviour Mentor for a leading SEND school based in Leeds. Are you excited by the chance to change outcomes of children with SEND? If so, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

* Working within small classes to provide behaviour support.

* Provide tailored, individualised learning support for pupils with additional learning needs, such as autism, ADHD and SEMH.

* Build strong relationships, based on mutual trust and respect, with the pupils.

* Collaborate with the class teacher and other education professionals to assess, implement and re-evaluate your support.

Requirements

* Prior experience supporting children special educational needs is desirable.

* Being Passionate about changing academic outcomes for children is essential.

* Being able to manage behaviour that challenges and use a range of de-escalation strategies is essential.

* Taking an empathetic and respectful approach when building relationships with pupils.
