Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a highly motivated, committed and resourceful Teaching Assistant to work in one of our SEN Schools based in Wimborne, Dorset.
The school is a Foundation Special School and College which caters for children and young people between the ages of four and nineteen who are experiencing learning difficulties, including complex needs, and those with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities.
Support students in developing essential skills, such as communication, social interaction, and independence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments and reports.
Assist with classroom management, including supporting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support.
The successful educator will have:
Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to respond to the varying needs of students.
A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special educational needs is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
