Medway NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated professional for an immediate start to join our Cardiorespiratory Department. Role Overview
As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will play a key role in our Cardiorespiratory Department, focusing on cardiac devices and pacing. Your expertise will be essential in performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Specialist Procedures: Perform and analyse complex cardiac investigations, particularly in the area of cardiac devices and pacing.
* Clinical Judgement: Provide accurate and timely interpretation of results, ensuring urgent cases are escalated to senior staff or medical personnel immediately.
* Patient Care: Offer reassurance and clear communication to patients undergoing procedures, ensuring they understand the process and outcomes.
* Mentorship: Support and guide junior staff and students, sharing your expertise in cardiac devices and pacing.
* Service Contribution: Assist in departmental audits, research projects, and the implementation of evidence-based practices.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, RCCP registration or eligibility, and ILS certification.
* Experience: Significant experience in cardiac devices and pacing within the NHS is essential.
* Skills: Expertise in performing and interpreting a wide range of cardiac investigations, with a focus on devices and pacing. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
