Registered Home Manager – Children’s Services

TQR are working with a new client who are looking for a Registered Manager, they will be responsible for the care of Children and Young People. Our client has multiple homes in the area but are looking for a New Registered Manager for one home. They specialise in working with Children with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties).

You will be expected to submit an application for the post of Registered Manager and successfully undertake a Fit Person Interview.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the residential home runs efficiently in line with legislation, policies, and the home’s Statement of Purpose.

* Manage financial aspects including budgets, expenditure, and payroll-related matters (e.g., time sheets, sickness, annual leave).

* Oversee home rotas, training schedules, and ensure care team meetings are held and recorded.

* Lead, support, and supervise the care team to provide high standards of care.

* Conduct monthly supervisions, annual appraisals, and manage the induction and training of new staff.

* Participate in recruitment and disciplinary processes.

* Promote team development and individual professional growth.

* Ensure individualised care planning and implementation based on young people's needs.

* Encourage young people’s participation in therapy, education, and life skill development.

* Maintain a safe, caring, and stable environment for young people.

* Oversee daily routines and ensure consistency with care plans.

* Ensure all records meet statutory and quality standards.

* Ensure clinical and medication practices are compliant with legislation.

* Complete and respond to Regulation 44 and 45 audits and reviews.

* Maintain Health & Safety, COSHH, and risk assessments within the home.

* Liaise with internal and external professionals and commissioning authorities.

* Build positive relationships between staff, young people, families, and external agencies.

* Produce annual development reviews for the home.

* Contribute to innovative and creative care programs.

* Actively participate in manager training and professional development.

* Achieve and maintain relevant qualifications (e.g., Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management).

Requirements:

* Diploma Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to complete.

* Registered with Ofsted before.
