Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a SEN TA Teaching Assistant to join the team on a long term basis at a SEN school in Avonouth, North Bristol

This secondary school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and associated learning difficulties. You will play a key role in supported pupils who have difficulties with their emotional and social development and will be dedicated to guiding students who may have limited social skills and find it difficult to make and sustain healthy relationships.

About the role:

- Support students with special educational needs in their academic and personal development
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment

Requirements:
- Team Teach qualified
- Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy towards students with diverse needs.
