Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for the exciting role of Bookkeeper within the Wakefield area of West Yorkshire.

What is on offer for you?

£27,000-£28,000 per annum
Bonuses paid twice a year- yes twice!
9am-5pm Mon-Thurs (with an hour for lunch) and 9am-3pm on a Friday (with just 30 mins for lunch)
Fully funded study support.
In addition to holiday allowance, they give you every Tuesday after the bank holiday off (just not may day) which allows you an extra holiday
Week off between Christmas and New Year and only requiring you to use 1 holiday
Pension contribution-They offer the standard 3%
What does this role entail? Here is a very brief snapshot:

You will be working on VAT returns making sure they are filed on time
Working with a variety of softwares including, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage and VT Cashbook
Working with a full range of clients including, online shops, beauticians, used car sales and consultants
Having a good level of client involvement and working autonomously
Getting in touch with clients when the VAT is due - asking for all relevant information, processing the returns, agreeing figures with clients and filing returnsMore information on the job specification can be provided on a confidential call.

What do we need from you?

3+ years experience within an accountancy firm
Experience working on a variety of softwares
Bookkeeping experience to a high standard
Ability to manage own workload
Ability to work Autonomously
