Technical Service Chemist required, based in Bedfordshire on a permanent basis. Requiring proven industrial experience providing technical service to customers and laboratory testing. Recent Chemistry graduates will also be considered.

Salary: £28,000 - £37,000 (dependent on experience)

SRG are working with a multinational company who specialise in the creation of speciality chemicals for a range of markets. They are now looking to add a Technical Service Chemist to their Fuel Additives Technical Service Team on a permanent basis, based at their site in Bedfordshire. This role will include testing the application of fuel additive products, providing technical support to customers and supporting in technical service projects. Candidates with proven industrial experience of laboratory testing and providing technical service are encouraged to apply, although recent Chemistry graduates will be considered.

Role / Description

Providing technical support related to the application of refinery fuel additives.
Executing technical service projects and providing data to support the business in a timely fashion under direction and priority.
Responsible for maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
Undertaking testing according to standard industry methods, to support fuel additive application.
Communicate and report technical information to the technical and sales team, as well as external customers in a clear and concise manner.
Potential to undertake customer visits to support and conduct trials as required.
Conducting tests and collating technical response as required in support of customer tenders.
Maintaining laboratory areas safe and tidy according to local standards and carry out and risk assessments as appropriate.Requirements

Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
Proven industrial experience of laboratory testing and providing technical service
