BGA is the aftermarket division of the British Gaskets Group. We are a world leading original equipment gasket and engine component manufacturer and distributor to many of the world's vehicle and industrial factories. BGA's mission is to supply the world aftermarket with a full range of original quality engine components. Our ranges are some of the best in Europe. Located in Swindon with excellent transport links to the M4 Corridor.

As we expand our current range to incorporate engine management components.

We are seeking a dynamic and professional Technical Specialist (this role would suit a Vehicle technician or an Automotive Engineer). Our ideal candidate would have the following professional skills:

Essential:

* Technical knowledge of automotive parts and their function components:

* Confidence to communicate and deal with people at all levels

* IT knowledge including Microsoft, Word, and Excel

* Technical Report writing

* Ability to use inspection measuring equipment

* Qualification within engineering or motor vehicles

Desirable:

* Experience of working within a quality control environment

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* This role would suit a Vehicle technician or an Automotive Engineer

* Worked within a quality inspection environment

Key Responsibilities:

* Participation in the development/testing and enhancement of specific product designs and the creation of process FMEAs (failure mode and effects analysis).

* Performing visual and physical inspections of development samples, production samples and stock.

* Creation of product inspection reports.

* Providing our factories with approvals or rejections based on the evaluation of inspection results.

* The control of and use of measuring equipment on site.

* Technical support and ‘know-how’ to other departments and customers.

* Inspection and diagnosis of failure samples assisting the Warranty department
