Your Role:

* To assist the Stores Supervisor to account and maintain all material held within a Garrison Clothing Store/Student Stores on behalf of the Authority in conjunction with their current regulations.

* To assist in the issuing, demanding, and back-loading of all clothing in conjunction with the relevant Joint Service Publication (JSP), local policies and publications.

* To assist in monthly, weekly inspections and stocktakes to make sure we are compliant with the authority’s inspections.

* When applicable, to carry out monthly inspections and maintain a record.

* To assist in providing and maintaining an audit trail for all Authority’s inspections.

What We’re Looking For:

* Qualifications: NVQ1 Distribution Storehouse and Warehouse Operations or equivalent.

* Experience: A good understanding of stock control and accounting procedures, as well as good customer service skills. A basic understanding of Health and Safety is also essential.

* Skills: Good communication skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team and be able to prioritise his/her own work, as well as aid with the work of others when required. A flexible approach is also key and diligence with meeting deadlines.

* Knowledge: A basic understanding of the Military structure, process’s, policies and computer systems (MJDI), training and required courses will be supplied.
