Prince are supporting an established and successful business based in Telford who are looking to recruit a Design Engineer to their stable technical team. As the Design Engineer you will be working alongside skilled engineers on developing existing product ranges and modifications to improve products through to working on new product development and new product introduction.

This role will see you working on a variety of tasks from producing CAD drawings, technical manuals and engineering drawings, through to testing products to ensure regulations and specifications are met. This role will also include providing technical support to end customers and liaising directly with customers on product enquiries or installation queries.

Our client is open to experience level and will consider candidates who have recently graduated or in the early stages of their career. They are able to provide training and support with your development and will help you understand the vast product range.

The Design Engineer will be responsible for:

* Producing CAD drawings, technical manuals and detailed engineering drawings

* Working to improve existing product ranges

* Supporting with the development of new products and new product introduction

* Conducting product testing to ensure regulations and specifications are met

* Quality checking and investigation of non-conforming products

* Communicating with customers via the telephone or via email

* Providing technical support to customers on product enquiries or installation enquiries

* Working with internal departments on product design, development and manufacture

* Updating company system with accurate design drawings and documentation

Skills and Experience

* Experience with producing detailed engineering drawings will be essential

* AutoCAD 2D as a minimum – AutoDesk Inventor ideally

* Computer literate

* Strong communication skills

* Driving Licence will be essential

* This role would suit a candidate who has previous experience as a Design Engineer / Product Designer / Product Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer / Design Technician / Graduate Engineer / Junior Design Engineer / Junior Engineer / Junior Designer / Graduate Design Engineer
