About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic consultancy team. Specializing in HVAC, heat pumps, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, you will play a pivotal role in designing innovative solutions for a diverse range of clients. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed designs for HVAC, heat pump, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through to completion.
* Perform calculations, simulations, and equipment selections to optimize system performance.
* Produce technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
* Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and support installation and commissioning activities.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
* Stay up to date with technological advancements, regulations, and best practices in the HVAC and mechanical engineering fields.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly in HVAC, heat pumps, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
* Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
* Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and energy efficiency principles.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members.
Desirable:
* Membership in a professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE).
* Experience with renewable energy systems and sustainable design principles.
* Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software and energy modeling tools.
