Location: Northampton

Salary: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour

Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have experience in upholstering chairs, panels, and other office furnishings, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet both aesthetic and functional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Gluing materials securely.
Using staple guns to attach fabric and padding.
Stretching fabric to ensure a smooth and professional finish.
Measuring and cutting fabric accurately to fit furniture specifications.
Inserting and positioning padding for comfort and durability.
Applying webbing to support furniture structure.
Stripping and re-upholstering existing furniture, replacing materials as needed.
Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and durability.
Operating industrial sewing machines and other upholstery tools safely.Requirements

Previous experience in upholstery,
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to measure, cut, and sew fabric accurately.
Experience with industrial upholstery tools and machinery.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with precision.Desirable Skills

Knowledge of different types of upholstery fabrics and materials.
Experience with patternmaking and fabric layout
