ALink Recruitment are working with a medium sized engineering consultancy that are looking for 2 contract Electrical Design Engineers with experience working on rail projects.

Day-to-day, you will be involved in the development of electrical engineering solutions to a variety of our clients projects within the rail industry, from concept to construction. The role offers a great opportunity to join successful, established teams and work alongside some of the best engineers on a wide variety of major projects across the UK’s rail industry. Our ideal candidate is adaptable, pragmatic and passionate about delivering solutions that will enable our clients to deliver better infrastructure within the rail industry.

Essential Criteria:

· Degree in Engineering (Bsc, MSc or MEng) or equivalent

· At least 5+ years, post-graduate experience in electrical engineering

· Experience in the Rail Industry and a sound understanding of the Rail Environment, rules and regulations

· Competent user of office IT and design software tools i.e., AMTECH, Dialux, etc

· Working knowledge of AutoCad/REVIT

· Experience and good knowledge of TfL Pathway or Network Rail GRIP, PACE and engineering standards and specifications

· Experience and good knowledge of using electrical engineering standards and specifications (Rail or Building related)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proven ability to work under pressure within time constraints

· Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

· Proven capability to build relationships, be proactive and be part of a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams

· A challenging attitude towards solving engineering problems to achieve cost effective designs and develop innovative solutions
