About the Role:
Sourced Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing residential developer, who is looking for a Development Engineer to oversee live sites of up to 70 units. These developments range from affordable housing to high-end homes worth up to £1.5 million.

Some of the projects will be delivered externally, while others will be built directly by the company. This role requires a proactive, problem-solving individual who can manage the technical aspects of development while ensuring smooth coordination between internal and external teams.

Key Responsibilities: ? Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure the smooth transition of technical information.
? Prepare site viability reports in line with current regulatory requirements for residential development.
✍️ Ensure all drawings and details are accurate, commercially suitable, and meet required standards.
? Liaise with external consultants and secure necessary approvals for designs and ground investigations.
? Attend site visits to resolve issues that arise during the construction process.
? Oversee tenders and pre-start engineering documentation, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
? Ensure compliance with new regulations and incorporate changes into the design as needed.

What You’ll Need:
✅ Previous experience as a Development Engineer or in a similar role within the UK housebuilding sector.
✅ Strong communication and organizational skills.
✅ Good commercial and contractual awareness.
✅ Experience with engineering-related software, such as AutoCAD.
✅ Proven ability to prepare schedules of work and gain approval on complex technical issues.
