Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans and learning activities for students with a variety of special educational needs.
*
Assess the progress and development of students, providing regular feedback to parents and staff.
*
Collaborate with teaching assistants, other teachers, and support staff to provide a holistic learning experience for each child.
*
Create and maintain an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress.
*
Ensure that students receive the appropriate accommodations and modifications to support their learning.
*
Engage with external agencies and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
*
Contribute to the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant SEN qualification (e.g., SENCo, or equivalent).
*
Experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs.
*
A passion for inclusive education and helping students achieve their potential.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
*
Knowledge and understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and more.
*
An understanding of how to differentiate lessons and provide tailored support to meet individual needs.
*
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
*
Experience with specific SEN areas (e.g., speech and language, dyslexia, or social-emotional difficulties).
*
SENCo or other additional professional qualifications.
*
Previous experience working in a similar educational setting.
