Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small, multi-skilled team, providing laboratory and QC support working alongside our diverse range of industrial chemical manufactured products. We are looking for a lab / QC technician who will be an important member in the team and play an important role in keeping the lab running smoothly. Ideally you will be proactive, organised and methodical in your approach to work with a real “can do'' attitude.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Work within a team following established procedures for sample testing using relevant laboratory equipment

* Preparation of standard solutions and formulations in a wet laboratory environment.

* General laboratory organisation such as maintaining a laboratory records, labelling and storing samples.

* Maintaining lab tidiness and organisation.

* Adhere to, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment within a lab.

* Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

* General laboratory house-keeping.

Qualifications/ Key skills:

* Minimum A Level qualified to a Chemistry related discipline

* Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment.

* Organisational and time management skills.

* Team player with good communication skills.

* IT competent

* Excellent level of spoken and written English.

Desirable but not essential:

* Work experience within a laboratory environment.

* Sage 200 knowledge
