Internal Audit Manager, Fixed term contract
My client is looking for an experienced internal auditor to support a small internal audit department for a fixed term contract. The bank operates a hybrid working policy and you would be expected to work from the office two-three days/week.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and execute audit assignments, perform risk assessments, and identify relevant risks
Evaluate systems and controls for wholesale banking activities using a risk-based approach
Conduct allocated audits, reporting findings, and making recommendations for control, governance improvement, and efficiency.
Produce high-quality audit reports, scoping documentation, and audit programs.
Review and prepare working papers, audit files, and dashboards per Audit Group instructions and policies.
Assist in the follow-up of recommendations.
Maintain and establish regular business partnering throughout the implementation of open recommendations.
Carry out continuous monitoring and risk identification
Conduct additional ad hoc and emergency assignments as requested.
The suitable candidate for this position should come from a banking internal audit background, ideally having had exposure to wholesale and/or investment banking. Demonstrable experience of leading audit engagements, delivering to deadlines and managing stakeholder relationships is essential
