The school have students who have a range of needs including: ASD, Global Delay, Non-verbal, HOH, Visual Impairements, SEMH.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working with these students and has a passion for making their learning as Positive as Possible!

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behaviour management and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young children. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students to achieve their full potential by promoting positive behaviour and providing targeted interventions.

About the role:

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement individual behaviour plans for students requiring additional support.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a cohesive support network for students.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour management strategies and adjust as necessary.
* Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
* Lead and model best practices in behaviour management across the school.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience

* Previous experience working in a primary school setting or similar educational environment.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques, PEC, Makaton, and restorative practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, counselling, or a related field are desirable.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
