Are you a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of civil engineering and the construction industry?

Our client is seeking a skilled EHV Cabling & Substation Civils Estimator to manage their enquiries and ITTs from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of Enquiries and ITTs: Handle the entire process from receipt to submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
Tender Review and Assessment: Carefully evaluate all tender information received.
Site Visits and Meetings: Attend pre-tender meetings and site visits as necessary.
Tender Programme Preparation: Develop detailed tender programmes and submission documents.
Operational Liaison: Work closely with operations teams to understand project delivery methods and outputs.
Cost Compilation: Prepare detailed job costs from first principles, including internal labour and management costs.
Sub-Contractor Engagement: Collaborate with specialist sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring multiple quotes for materials, equipment, and sub-contractors.
Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with various departments to compile comprehensive submissions.
Tender Queries Management: Handle all tender queries and clarifications efficiently.
Final Pricing and Commercial Review: Compile final pricing in the required format and conduct a thorough commercial review with senior management prior to submission.
Bid Document Submission: Compile and submit all necessary bid documents accurately and on time.
Client Meetings: Organise and attend post-tender meetings with clients as needed.

What We're Looking For:

Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to reviewing engineering specifications, work scopes, and drawings.
Mathematical and IT Proficiency: High-level skills in maths and IT.
Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work closely with the bid team and other disciplines.
Flexibility: Ability to handle fluctuating workloads and meet client deadlines.
