Senior Oracle Analyst / Developer - Contract (6 Months, Hybrid)

Our established educational sector client is looking for a Senior Oracle Analyst / Developer, for a 6-month hybrid contract based in London.

This is a great opportunity to join an strong technical team, responsible for the development and support of HR and Finance applications across the organisation, based around the Oracle eBusiness Suite HR and Financials Management modules.

About the Role

As a Senior Oracle Analyst / Developer, you'll be responsible for the following duties:

Design, develop, and improve software that meets user needs and improves their experience.
Writing and maintaining clean, secure code and software configuration.
Adopt a test-driven approach, and ensure software is easy for others to reuse.
Work closely with EBS functional subject matter experts, and liaise with wider colleagues in Platforms, Database and Network domains.
Participate in knowledge transfers and peer review sessions within the team, as well as show and tells and design playbacks to the wider business community.
There may also be opportunities to refactor systems integrations with more modern interfaces as the organisation progresses its Cloud ambitions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have knowledge / experience in some or all of the following areas:

Firm knowledge of the software development lifecycle, as well as application software design and development.
Significant knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite, preferably at any point release of R12.2.
Knowledge of ITIL support processes including release management, the ability to supervise other technical staff if needed, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues at all levels.
Oracle RDBMS (including familiarity with EBS HR and/or Financials schemas).
PL/SQL and Java.

Desirable Skills

A good understanding of any of the following areas would be an advantage:

Oracle Workflow
AME
UMX
Oracle Application Framework (OAF)
Application Development Framework (ADF)
BI/XML Publisher
Web Services (REST in particular)
Internet SOA Gateway (ISG)
Oracle Forms
Familiarity with Agile working practices (Scrum/SAFe Framework) and tools (JIRA) would also be beneficial.
