What you'll be doing;
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on the plant and site equipment including: hydraulic and steam systems, overhead refuse cranes, rotating equipment and conveyors.
Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing and developing improvements to plant and apparatus.
Mechanical fault finding, defect rectification and routine maintenance activities.
Ensure you are working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Use of workshop tools, drilling machines, lathes, bench fitting and welding equipment.
What we're looking for;
Having served a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification is essential. This role could suit someone that's completed a Veolia Electro-Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
Being multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical engineering and having welding skills is advantageous.
Understanding of, and ability to diagnose faults on mechanical systems.
Experience gained in a continuous process industry is advantageous.
Computer literate and able to train in computerised maintenance systems.
