We are looking for Level 2 qualified Swimming Teachers to prepare and deliver Swimming lessons to Children and Adults in our successful and growing swim school program, following the Swim England's framework, delivering safe, consistent swimming lessons that give people real confidence in the water – and an invaluable life skill.
As an experienced swimming teacher, you’ll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential whilst supporting individual pupil's needs. At Lampton we offer swimming lessons in group or one-to-one, and from babies to adults. Our lessons are run during the week from 4pm to 7pm and weekends from 9am to 2pm.
At Lampton Leisure, we offer ongoing training and development opportunities, and can provide support with further training, such as specialisms in teaching - Competitive Swim, Baby and Toddler or Rookie Lifeguards or even a NPLQ or PPO qualifications if you wish. A career as a Swimming Teacher at Lampton is also a great first step to many different routes including Swim Manager, Duty Manager or Assistant General Manager.
As a Level 2 Swimming Teacher, you will be involved with the following:
Preparing lesson plans that meets the requirements ‘all Swim England Frameworks’.
Carry out all administrative tasks associated with the position, including lesson plans and schemes of work.
Ensure all classes registers are taken every lesson and continuous assessment of pupils are happening each week.
Upholding GDPR guidelines at all times.
Responsible for equipment set-up, organisation throughout the sessions and putting away at the end of the session.
Ensure all concerns of a child safeguarding nature are referred in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with Safeguarding policy
Work with customers in group and sometimes on a one-to-one basis to motivate and instruct them during their lessons.
Supervise and mentor ASA/Swim England Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teachers as required.
You will:
Hold an ASA/Swim England- SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) and SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
Be passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds to learn to swim or become stronger, faster or more confident when swimming
Have good communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, and their parents
