This role focuses on configuring and maintaining Workday Financials, managing integrations, security, and system updates to ensure efficiency and alignment with business needs. While the Service Desk handles basic support, this position provides advanced system support, optimises processes, ensures proper testing, and assists users with reporting best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner of Workday Financials, ensuring the system aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
Configure and manage Workday Financials, including workflows, security roles, and system integrations.
Collaborate closely with the Finance team to understand business needs, optimize processes, and enhance system functionality.
Oversee system updates, releases, and patches to ensure seamless adoption of new features.
Work in partnership with the Head of Test to implement rigorous testing processes, including functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing before system changes go live.
Support reporting users by ensuring data integrity, resolving reporting issues, and providing guidance on best practices for report development.
Maintain data accuracy and compliance, ensuring financial reporting meets regulatory standards.
Act as the escalation point for complex system issues that extend beyond the Service Desk’s scope.
Provide training and best practice recommendations to Finance and other relevant stakeholders.Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Essential

Demonstrated experience in administering Workday, ideally with a focus on Workday Financials.
Strong configuration expertise in Workday, including security settings, workflows, and integrations.
Familiarity with Workday integration tools such as EIB, Workday Studio, APIs, and Web Services.
Solid understanding of financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of Workday’s data structures and reporting tools to effectively support end users.
Experience in testing methodologies, including UAT, regression testing, and change management.
Proven ability to drive system improvements and process automation.
Awareness of financial compliance requirements, including regulatory standards and audits
