Racking Engineer – Fantastic Opportunity with a Leading M&E Company

Here at Nelson Permanent Placements we are seeking an experienced and motivated Racking Engineer to join a well-established and rapidly growing company within the M&E industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of our large, respected clients in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Rate: £17 - £20 D.O.E

Hours: 8 - 4.30 (O.T Available)

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform regular maintenance of racking systems as assigned by management.

* Assist with the installation and commissioning of racking systems.

* Carry out repairs on racking installations, working from SEMA racking inspection reports.

* Contribute to mechanical engineering tasks as required.

* Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed, including daily equipment inspections and attending toolbox talks.

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience in racking maintenance or installation.

* Strong understanding of Health and Safety procedures and quality processes.

* Experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

* A proactive, hands-on individual with excellent communication skills.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring high standards and meeting deadlines.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

* Experience in the food and beverage industry is a bonus.

* Basic mechanical fitting and assembly skills.

* Familiarity with slinging and lifting loads.

* Relevant qualifications or trade apprenticeship.

* Forklift license or IPAF Mobile Elevating Work Platforms certification is desirable.
