Manufacturing Engineer, Poole, up to £45,000pa + benefits

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, improving quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing cycle. Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

Oversee new product introduction, establishing efficient production methods and providing guidance to design and production teams.
Implement structured problem-solving techniques to resolve production-related challenges.
Assist with cost reduction initiatives and introduce innovative processes, techniques, and solutions.
Train and mentor operators on production procedures and best practices.
Prepare estimates and manage costs related to job functions.
Cultivate strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers / customers.
Actively participate in Health and Safety initiatives.
Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts to identify and address underlying issues.
Identify and implement advanced manufacturing techniques.
Analyse and plan workflow, space utilisation, and equipment placement to optimise manufacturing efficiency.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure production equipment remains operational.
Provide Design for Manufacturing (DfM) advice to the Engineering team.
Background

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will:

Be experienced with modern manufacturing processes, particularly assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
Have experience with implementing Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
Be able to demonstrate successful processes and quality improvements within a manufacturing environment.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work alongside a range of disciplines and promote a positive team environment.
Be highly organised, capable of managing concurrent and often competing priorities.
Having knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks would be beneficial.
