Quantity Surveyor
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join them to work on a brand new 300+unit, mixed tenure development in Newark-on-Trent. Your role as a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is obtained, delivered within budget and to the highest quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
Subcontractor procurement;
Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
Projecting cost and value to completion;
Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
Recording and agreement of contract variations;
Agreement of Final Accounts.
The Person
The qualities we are looking for in a Quantity Surveyor:
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
