School Staffing Solutions are working with a residential SEN school based just outside of Blandford Forum who are looking to recruit two teachers for their Primary cohort of students. The school caters for children and young people aged 7-19 years of age with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Some students have co-existing conditions, complex needs, challenging behaviour and learning difficulties.

We are looking for qualified teachers who are passionate about the teaching children with Autism. Working as part of a committed team, we need someone who can cater for the diverse needs of students, therefore you need to be:

* Well organised and able to plan a structured learning environment

* Have experience of teaching SEN in mainstream or a SEN school

* Practical, creative and inventive;

* Enthusiastic and energetic;

* Able to interact with people in a variety of ways;

* Calm, nurturing and understanding.

* Proof of QTS

The roles main responsibilities:

* Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.

* Work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

* Maintain and use short, medium and long term plans in delivering the curriculum.

* Set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
