We are an education recruitment agency that specialises in providing SEND supply cover to mainstream and special schools throughout the Midlands. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teacher to work in a supportive SEMH school near Coventry. The position is full-time, starting on a temporary basis but with the potential to become permanent. The role requires you to work full-time, working with students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs.
* Create and implement individual education plans to support students' emotional, social, and academic development.
* Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as required.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience working with SEMH students in a school setting.
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Specialism in English is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to improving the outcomes of vulnerable students.
