Construction Design Manager - East Midlands

Approach Personnel are partnering with our long standing client to recruit an experienced Design Manager. As a Design Manager, you will be an integral part of the pre-construction team.

They are now looking to expand their team by recruiting an experienced Design Manager based in their East Midlands office, working holistically as part of a strong team of professionals to deliver excellent solutions for their clients projects.

As this is an award-winning and established Main Contractor, you will have the opportunity to work with some high-profile construction based clients across a number of sectors. You can expect supportive and ambitious working environment, fostered by the company’s strive for development and quality.

Duties

* Ensuring all produced works are in line with legislation and guidelines, monitoring updates and changes in regulations to ensure compliance

* Managing the lifecycle of design works for each project, overseeing the design team’s work, assessing and mitigating risk

* Working to ensure all design aspects and drawings are accurate, produced on schedule and of a high standard

* Maintaining working relationships with clients to create a line of visability and solid line of communication regarding all aspects of a project

Experience/Skills

* Proven experience in a Design Management role, specifically with a main contractor on major work projects

* Excellent knowledge and understanding of construction related legislation and regulations, with a proven track record on producing high levels of health and safety

* Full UK Driving License

* Excellent salary between £65,000 - £75,000 + car/car allowance
