Dynamic and growing construction consultancy based in Fareham, Hampshire. Specialize in providing high-quality quantity surveying services for retail clients, including major names like Asda, M&S, and Tesco. Looking for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team and help deliver exceptional service on a range of exciting retail projects.

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor with us, you will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of retail construction projects, from the initial stages of estimating and tendering through to final account settlement. You will work closely with our retail clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

This role offers a blend of office-based work and remote/on-site duties, providing variety and flexibility in your day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for retail construction projects.
Manage tender processes and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure cost control.
Monitor project budgets, reporting on any variances and proposing corrective actions.
Prepare and review cost plans, bills of quantities, and contractual documentation.
Work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure project goals are met.
Provide advice on contractual matters and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with retail clients.
Strong knowledge of construction costs, budgeting, and contract administration.
A full, clean UK driving license (a company vehicle will be provided).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline is preferred.
