Building Surveyor
Location: North London
Salary: £41.90 per hour umbrella

A North London Local Authority is currently seeking an Interim Building Surveyor to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in inspecting buildings, diagnosing defects, and ensuring the necessary remedial actions are taken. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to make a significant impact and contribute to the well-being of the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct building inspections as necessary to diagnose the cause of building defects.
Raise work orders using the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates or specifications as appropriate.
Provide recommendations for remedial action to address building defects.
Utilise your surveying or construction-related qualifications to carry out your duties effectively.
Demonstrate strong organisational and proactive skills in managing your own calendar and caseload.
While social housing surveying experience is beneficial, it is not essential.
Ability to produce specifications of works using a schedule of rates.
Possess a good understanding of damp, mould, and condensation issues.
Access to pool vehicles will be provided to fulfil job responsibilities.
Requirements:

A surveying or construction-related qualification.
While not mandatory, prior experience in social housing surveying is a plus.
Proficiency in producing specifications of works using a schedule of rates.
Sound knowledge of damp, mould, and condensation issues.
