About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join a market-leading engineering company specialising in technical and advisory services for the global energy sector. This role offers a diverse and challenging workload, contributing to major projects in hydrocarbon and energy transition technologies.
With multiple projects recently secured, now is an exciting time to join the team and play a key role in developing sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate engineering procedures, specifications, and standards.
Lead and supervise discipline-based design and specifications.
Review and approve data sheets, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
Assess detailed discipline drawings and vendor proposals.
Act as the Lead Electrical Engineer for both projects and proposals.
Chair or participate in client, project, and vendor meetings.
Support proposal development, including estimating man-hours and material costs.
Provide insights for construction subcontract input and assess bids.
Oversee various electrical design activities, including power system studies, Single Line Diagrams, Load Summaries, and Substation Layouts.
Conduct Material Take-Offs and generate Priced Bills of Materials.
Travel domestically and internationally for meetings, equipment testing, and on-site technical support.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Strong expertise in design, procurement, and construction phases of engineering projects.
Previous experience in leading engineering teams within the energy sector.
