An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Trainee in the Transport & Distribution industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various financial tasks and learning the ropes of the Accounting & Finance department.

Finance Trainee Responsibilities

Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
Support the accounts payable and receivable processes
Help with tax computations and filings
Learn and utilise financial software and system
Determine appropriate VAT treatment of invoices
Preparing payments and ensure creditor's payment terms are met
Perform monthly creditor reconciliations
Follow-up with creditors on invoice and/or balance queries
Raise accruals to ensure that expenses are recorded in the appropriate financial periods
Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the businessProfile

A successful Finance Trainee should have:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent communication abilities
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

Finance Trainee

Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 per annum
