Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant and dedicated team at a well-established primary school in Shard End, Birmingham.

This full-time position will start in January 2025, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will have responsibility for delivering high-quality teaching, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment, and helping our students to achieve their full potential. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the school leadership team, as well as colleagues in Key Stage 1, to continue the development of an enriching curriculum that inspires and motivates our pupils.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A proven track record of teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally with experience in Year 2
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners
A deep understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements
The ability to differentiate teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of students
A commitment to continuous professional development
A passion for primary education and a genuine interest in the well-being of students

Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· At least 1-2 years of experience in teaching Key Stage 1 (preferably Year 2)
· Experience of planning and delivering the Year 2 curriculum
· Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
