Warehouse Supervisor

Europa is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our bustling Luton Warehouse. The Role
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be responsible for a designated area within our warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Flexibility is key, as you'll need to cover various areas as needed.
In return we will offer you a competitive salary from £30,000 Per annum dependent upon experience plus a companywide bonus scheme, 23 days holiday which increases with service & the option to purchase more, increased pension contribution, BUPA private healthcare with the option to add family members, 3 x life assurance & EAP, free onsite parking useful for travel from Luton Airport. This role will be on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Key areas of responsibilities include:
Pick & Despatch:
Ensure accurate picking, checking, packing, and despatching of products to avoid damage during transit.
Goods In:
Safely receive products, including returns, check against delivery notes/POs, book in and put away efficiently, resolving queries promptly.
Assembly:
Re-label and re-package products to a high standard, fulfilling customer requirements and prioritizing back orders.
Inventory:
Maintain stock integrity through thorough processing, system transaction auditing, physical cycle counting, and ad-hoc stock checking.
Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Supervisor:
* Champion Health & Safety across the warehouse, promoting positive safety behaviour’s and implementing preventative actions.
* Own daily activities in your designated area, ensuring optimal team performance.
* Train and develop staff, fostering a multi-skilled team capable of covering multiple areas.
* Plan, review, and adjust team activities according to departmental needs.
* Delegate responsibilities and monitor performance effectively.
* Lead by example, promoting a 'One Team' culture.
* Conduct daily briefings, 1-2-1s, PDRs, and performance reviews.
* Ensure adherence to company values, escalating concerns when necessary.
* Communicate effectively across all departments and with external stakeholders.
* Maintain high stock integrity and address discrepancies promptly.
* Manage supplier and customer relationships professionally.
* Handle documentation and system data input accurately.
* Collaborate with other supervisors to manage floor space and minimise congestion.
* Support safe and environmental waste disposal processes.
Experience and Knowledge requirements
* Strong Health & Safety culture with a demonstrable record of positive safety behaviours.
* Proven warehouse & team management experience.
* In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems principles and mechanics.
* Proficient problem solver with a calm demeanour under pressure.
* Experience in agile working environments with adjustable staffing plans.
* Natural leader with a passion for team development and succession planning.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to review and enhance processes, implementing approved suggestions.
* Experienced in setting, monitoring, and understanding performance KPIs.
* Analytical with a data-driven approach.
* Hands-on approach with a collaborative mindset.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Physically fit to handle standing or walking up to 8 hours a day and lifting products up to 20kg.
* Comfortable operating MHE including Counterbalance FLT and Scissor Lift.
