Business Development Manager:
We are working on behalf of a successful commercial cleaning company that has been operating for over 30 years. The company has a strong client retention rate, with most of its business sourced from long-standing relationships with managing agents.
They are looking for a driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning profitable new business within the cleaning industry to support their growth plans.
The Role:
* Build a sales pipeline of new opportunities to ensure sales targets are met.
* Possess excellent knowledge of the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation through to tendering and closing sales.
* Identify opportunities to upsell within the existing customer base.
* Monitor competitors, new products, and market trends to address customers' specific needs.
* Educate customers on how products or services can provide financial and professional benefits.
* Assist in setting up contracts and handling operational matters once a contract is secured.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain all sales literature, policies, and procedures in line with business and ISO standards.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of five years’ experience in business development.
* Experience in selling contract cleaning services or related services is essential.
* Strong understanding of the FM sector, particularly within corporate London markets.
* Proven track record of delivering new business growth.
* Must be driven, confident, tenacious, and determined.
* Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels.
* Strong organisational and management skills, capable of leading teams and performing under pressure.
* Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to collaborate with Operations teams on contract retention and renegotiations.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong network in the Cleaning or FM sector, especially those with experience selling soft FM services to managing agents. Candidates must demonstrate this experience to be considered
