Major Talent are looking for Learning & Development Managers to join a vibrant food company based in the Midlands Area. This role will be reporting into the Head of People & will cover multiple sites.
As a Learning and Development Manager, you will:
Design and deliver a training and development strategy that supports the business objectives, talent management process and internal development programmes
Identifying organisational training needs, determining specific training requirements and developing a training plan that is appropriate and within budget
Assist managers to identify the learning and development needs of themselves and their teams; this includes support in the design of succession plans, competency models, on-boarding, personal development plans and performance improvement plans.
Deliver training initiatives (design, development, deliver & evaluate)
Assess providers' quality of materials, delivery and cost effectiveness & measure training effectiveness.
Working with Managers to develop assignments, rotations, mentoring and on-boarding programmes
Will oversee adherence to the learning and development processes including administration and record keeping
Will be responsible for adherence to the learning and development training procedures for each site, and ensure that all training delivery meets the needs of company accreditation and customer requirements
Monitor and report on activities, costs, performance etc as required
Supporting the co-ordination and execution of the apprenticeship programmes incorporating work based skills and utilising the Apprenticeship Levy funding
Reviewing, revising and updating all learning and development material to ensure the department offers the highest standard of interventions at all times that are credible, in line with business objectives and offer a consistent approach across all sites.
In conjunction with HR Leads and Department Heads support and help develop development programmes in key areas of the business in line with the learning & development business strategy.
Working with managers to create and adhere to annual training budget and ensuring on time submission to Europe.
Management of the site's food safety culture, to help prevent deviation in the process that impacts the safety, quality and legality of our products.
A successful Learning and Development Manager will have:
Experience working in a Learning and Development role.
A CIPD qualification
Experience working within the food industry
A Degree level education in HR
