Coulter Elite Resourcing is seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Facilities Manager to join one of our well-established and successful clients, a leading name in facilities maintenance services. This role is based primarily in Peterborough and Cambridge, where you will oversee multiple sites, ensuring seamless operation and high standards of maintenance and compliance.
Principle Responsibilities for the M&E Facilities Manager :
* Multi-Site Management: Oversee M&E maintenance across various contracts in the Peterborough and Cambridge areas, managing a team of in-house engineers and coordinating with specialist subcontractors.
* Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for our clients, developing strong relationships to understand and fulfill their business needs and requirements.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all services meet statutory compliance and Health & Safety regulations, produce RAMS, and conduct regular site audits to uphold safety and quality.
* Project & Maintenance Coordination: Manage both planned maintenance and reactive repair requirements, attending monthly meetings with clients to review and plan service delivery.
* Contract and SLA Oversight: Coordinate all activities within the contract, ensuring that all service levels and contractual SLAs are met effectively.
* Business Development Support: Engage with existing customers and proactively seek new customer relationships to support business growth. Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Person Specification for M&E Facilities Manager
* Experience: Demonstrable background in delivering Building Services, with expertise in M&E engineering, HVAC, and Control Systems, and a strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
* Management Skills: Proven experience in line management, including effective subcontractor engagement and management.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CAFM/CMMS) and an interest in continuous technical improvement.
* Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with peers, direct staff, suppliers, and clients.
* Organizational Abilities: Able to prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and adapt to changing demands. High levels of motivation, enthusiasm, and technical curiosity are essential.
Terms and Benefits
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Holidays: 22 days of paid holiday, plus statutory days.
