Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: East Midlands, Leicestershire, Leicester

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work full-time hours Monday to Friday

Primary Industry: Construction, New Build Housing, House Building

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

About the Company:

An established Housing Developer is expanding their team in the East Midlands due to new developments commencing!

Job Description:

If you have experience working as an Assistant QS or QS for a housing developer, then this could be the perfect opportunity. You will be overseeing 2 developments and reporting to the Commercial Manager.

Job Duties:

Manage and oversee all aspects of cost management, quantity surveying, and financial control of the projects
Prepare and submit monthly cost value reports and final accounts
Assist in the preparation of tenders, contract documentation, and budget estimates
Monitor and control variations and provide cost advice to the project team
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and provide recommendations

Required Qualifications:

Quantity Surveying Qualification or Degree desired
Full UK Driving Licence

Experience:

Prior experience as an Assistant QS or QS for a housing developer

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience in new build housing projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Packages
Knowledge of COINS software desired 

Working Conditions:

This role involves working on-site at construction projects in the East Midlands region. Regular travel between sites is required. The standard working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project requirements.
