Our client is a small engineering business, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who ideally is part or fully AAT qualified to join their small accounts team. This role is working in a lovely team environment, is office based and offers great working hours.
Job Description for the Accounts Assistant role:
Processing purchase ledger, matching purchase invoices to Delivery notes
Coding and the posting of purchase invoices
Statement reconciliation
Payment run preparation
Posting of payments
Investigating any queries
Preparing month end accruals
Sales ledger
Debtor chasing and liaising with the manager who will deal with escalations
Monitoring the cash flow
Banking and petty cash For the Accounts Assistant role, it would be good to see candidates with:
Part or full AAT qualified or equivalent
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational skills
Engineering background would be an advantage
Ideally experience of working within a small business
Multicurrency experience is an advantage Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm - Friday 8:00 am – 1:30 pm
Salary: £26,500 per annum
